The Mechanical Fishing Overshot, Type LNM, is designed to grip and recover tools and instruments with 35 and 30 mm diameter fishing necks, left in the borehole, due to the sticking or for some other reason, by pulling them out. The fishing tool is lowered into the borehole using cable rope or coil tubing (CT), when the work is done using coiled-tubing units (CTU).
Fishing tools are manufactured with 45 and 54 mm nominal diameters.
